Performance Assessment of Solar based Air Conditioning System

چکیده

The conventional air-conditioning system suffers from (i) harmonic distortion at the input ac side due to extensive use of nonlinear loads and (ii) not being friendly with environment climate. In this paper, a air conditioning (ACS), which uses single-phase supply, is replaced by solar-powered ACS mitigate mentioned shortcomings. Due non-availability solar energy during night/low-intensity levels, battery dc-dc converter are used maintain constant voltage, prime requirement for ACS. Further, if an supply daytime, required. Thus, self-sustained conditioner capacity 1.5 tons designed here. using Simulink, various parameters such as torque speed measured study & analyze solar-based gives acceptable performance despite variation irradiations.
